Slow Flow Yoga: RBW’s Slow Flow class brings together Hatha & Vinyasa yoga styles together in sequential movements, coupling breath and body coordination with longer holds in specific postures. This class moves at a slower pace than a typical Vinyasa class. Sequenced poses (asanas) with deep breathing techniques (Ujjayi breath) & longer holds aid in building stamina, strength, flexibility and allows students to go deeper in their practice & to play on their edge in the poses. CandleLit Restorative Yoga: Start the week off right every Monday with 75 minutes devoted solely to your nurturing. The candlelight will turn your focus inward so you listen and learn from your body as you’re gently guided through calming restorative poses. Students are fully supported with blankets, bolsters & props, which help to open the body & melt any tension or stress you’re holding. This class will leave you prepared to take on the rest of the week. Take some time to nourish yourself in this guided relaxation. Women (including prenatal) of all yoga levels are welcome. Prenatal Yoga: RBW’s prenatal yoga class not only supports women through the various stages of pregnancy, but it will help moms physically and mentally prepare for welcoming the baby into the world. Deep breathing exercises aid moms in delivering oxygen to baby, as our gentle poses focus on opening up and strengthening the lower body to accommodate the baby during labor. Additionally, our classes help decrease the discomfort associated with mom’s physical changes through each month. We will practice kegels/mula bandha, and center on supporting fetal growth and development from a Chinese medical perspective. Women (including prenatal) of all yoga levels are welcome. Post Natal Yoga (Strength): RBW’s Strengthening post natal yoga class is a great way to transition moms’ mind and body following childbirth. This class focuses on steady, sequenced poses (asanas) with breathing techniques (pranayama) to tone the pelvic floor & abs, open the chest and shoulders & build continual strength of the whole body to help manage the new demands of motherhood. Integrating meditation & rest, this class is the perfect opportunity for moms to nourish themselves and restore vitality & balance. We encourage mothers who are atleast 6 weeks post-partum to attend. Post Natal Yoga (Gentle): RBW’s Gentle post natal yoga class is a soothing time to slowly transition moms’ mind and body following childbirth. This class focuses on soft, steady, sequenced poses (asanas) with deep breathing techniques (pranayama) to open the shoulders & chest along with gentle pelvic floor asanas to slowly cultivate vitality & balance. Integrating meditation & rest, this class is the perfect opportunity for moms to nourish themselves mentally, emotionally & physically. Meditation: Explore a morning meditation practice at RBW where we will focus our mind and loosen the hold of ‘chitta vritti’s (mind chatter). This class gives students the opportunity to start the day with a balanced, calm and supple mind and includes pranayama (breathing techniques) with group discussions/dialogue. Whether you are new to meditation or already have a personal practice, join us in Roundbelly ’s soothing space to both train and nourish the mind. No prior experience or practice is required.
