Intuition – II: The Survival Mechanism

For those lucky or open enough to the body’s inherent mechanism of survival – Intuition- it is quite the experience that can come and go depending on the state of faith. Sometime due respect is given and you enable it to guide you and other times it is ignored and you can feel confused or distraught.
Intuition is that ‘feeling’ that has sustained not only mankind but all elements of nature since the beginning; from a sense of impending danger for the caveman to the trek of tortoises to their sands of birth. It has allowed human beings to survive through the times and elements. Intuition is that crucial connection that links you to nature and your inner psyche – the same element that your ancestors used to live.
The elements of Intuition seem to vary from person to person. In the beginning when Innocence is abundant, the connection to nature and its warnings/signs are more direct and stronger. There is limited influence of the outside world to cloud the link. How many times have you remembered an incident or memory wherein you made a decision based on a ‘gut feeling’?
During the growing years of adolescence and adulthood, Intuition becomes more subtle. It becomes harder to recognize and turns into a whisper instead of a distinct voice. Your mind becomes convoluted with teachings and habits wrought with preconceived and superimposed realities. Recognition transfers into a forced Ignorance and this ignorance can stick for a very very long time.
At some point however, whether your childhood memories or adult experiences prompt you, you can come back to this universal connection to nature and allow it to become your guidepost once again. The process can be quite grueling because it sparks a transformative state to be initiated. That can be both unsettling and exciting. Either way, the end result of accepting Intuition can be gratifying and in many instances, eye opening.

I like your blog post! I’m totally on board with developing and using intuition too.
Nice to meet a fellow intuition advocate. We need more people like you.
